Our THERMCAT™ THAWFAST ground thaw heater is an an environmentally friendly product that can be used in typical ground thawing applications as well as in hazardous areas.

The flameless heat produced by the unit is generated by a THERMCAT™ gas catalytic explosion-proof infrared heater. The HT 24.36 propane model as input fuel rating of 24,000 BTU/hr meaning that the THAWFAST uses a little more than a pound of propane each hour.
The unit is internally lined with stainless steel and insulated to retain heat inside the enclosure. THAWFAST is externally finished with a durable powder coating.
The THAWFAST is favorable over traditional ground-thawing methods (coal, etc.) in that the flameless heat source operates pollution free and will not harm any surrounding plant growth. Custom-built sizes are available or units can be banked together for large area coverage. Most project applications can be thawed overnight.
These ground thaw heaters are available in propane or natural gas. Available start-up voltages are 12V, 120 V, and 240V.
